Title: Cloud Security Lead
Location: Onsite (Contract-to-hire)
Compensation: $90-130/hour
Overview
Hands-on security leader responsible for protecting a cloud-based environment while guiding a small team. This role focuses on both execution and oversight across security operations, monitoring, and response.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day security efforts across a cloud environment
- Stay hands-on with monitoring, threat detection, and incident response
- Manage identity, access controls, and security policies
- Perform security assessments and address vulnerabilities
- Strengthen and harden cloud systems and configurations
- Support endpoint and mobile device security, including BYOD
- Oversee network security, encryption, and secure access
- Evaluate and support security tools and integrations
Requirements
- Experience securing cloud-based environments
- Strong background in threat detection and incident response
- Knowledge of identity and access management
- Experience with endpoint and device security
- Familiarity with vulnerability testing and security assessments
- Understanding of network security and secure connectivity
