Role Overview
The QA Associate will have expertise in test automation and Treasury Services platforms to support enterprise banking and cash management solutions. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of high-volume, mission-critical treasury systems through advanced automated testing practices. The ideal candidate has experience validating payments, receivables, liquidity, and reporting systems in a regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for treasury, payments, and cash management platforms.
- Execute automated and manual testing for:
- ACH, wire, and RTP processing systems
- Lockbox and integrated receivables platforms
- Remote deposit capture and image processing systems
- Liquidity management and account reporting solutions
- Treasury portals and client-facing applications
- Validate end-to-end transaction flows from initiation through settlement and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Treasury Operations teams to understand functional and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute regression, integration, system, and UAT test suites.
- Perform data validation across batch, real-time, and file-based processing environments.
- Build and enhance automation pipelines integrated with CI/CD workflows.
- Identify, document, and track defects related to treasury workflows, file processing, and financial controls.
- Support testing system integrations with client ERPs, TMS platforms, and internal banking systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production and pre-production defects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and risk management standards.
- Maintain test documentation, metrics, and quality dashboards.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation coverage and testing efficiency.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within financial services.
- Demonstrated experience testing Treasury Services and Cash Management systems.
- Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST automation, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Experience testing:
- Payment file formats (ACH, wires, BAI, ISO 20022, CSV/XML)
- APIs and message-based integrations
- Databases and financial reporting systems
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience using defect and test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, etc.).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting corporate banking or treasury management platforms.
Knowledge of:
- Integrated receivables and virtual accounts
- Liquidity and cash positioning tools
- Fraud monitoring and payment controls
- Reconciliation and exception processing
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with cloud-based and microservices architectures.
- Exposure to performance and scalability testing tools.
- ISTQB or similar QA certification.
- Experience with test data management, masking, and synthetic data generation.
