Hiring: Senior Reliability Test Engineer

📍 Location: Lake Forest, CA (On-site) 🛠️ Industry: Medical Device (R&D) ⏳ Experience: 5+ Years

Are you a hands-on Engineer with a passion for product robustness and design for reliability? We are looking for a Senior Reliability Test Engineer to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. This role is critical to the reliability enhancement and V&V compliance of our Valeda product line.You will be the bridge between design and durability, ensuring our medical devices meet the highest standards for performance, safety, and longevity.

 

🚀 Key Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy & Execution: Plan and execute HALT, ALT, environmental, transportation, and life testing.

  • Automation & Robotics: Develop and run automated test scripts and LabView/Python programs to stress-test hardware and PCBAs.

  • NPI Support: Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to identify pre-verification characterization needs and drive design improvements.

  • Cross-Functional Analysis: Review product designs using statistical analysis, stress testing, and simulation to support Design for Reliability (DfR) objectives.

  • Compliance & QMS: Ensure all activities align with GMP/QSR regulations and support lab equipment calibration and HSE/Laser safety standards.

 

🎯 Who You Are

  • Qualified: BS (5+ years) or MS (3+ years) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Industry Veteran: At least 3 years of focused R&D experience in New Product Reliability within the Medical Device sector.

  • Technically Versatile: Proven knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical design principles.

  • Software Savvy: Practical experience with LabView, Python, or R, plus familiarity with CAN bus and Ethernet protocols.

  • The "Maker" Mindset: Experience in fixturing, lab testing methods, and Robotics or equipment validation.

  • Communicator: Strong ability to document RCR reports and V&V activities grounded in solid science.
