The
Ford Pro Intelligence team is seeking a
creative and experienced Automation Test expert to support testing and automation for fleet management applications.
Employees in this role are responsible for defining and implementing software test procedures; planning, designing, executing, and optimizing software tests and automation scripts; and supporting incident triage and defect management. This includes reproducing and reporting defects identified through bug hunts or customer reports, as well as documenting test cases and scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement software test strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes aligned with organizational vision, industry regulations, and market best practices
- Define advanced test concepts, theories, and principles for highly complex technology and business scenarios
- Plan, design, and execute repeatable test cases and automation scripts for various software applications
- Leverage test management tools for test planning, development, execution, monitoring, and reporting
- Monitor, triage, and escalate incidents related to software products maintained by development teams, in accordance with organizational incident management processes
- Conduct and manage root cause analysis for production incidents and embed preventive actions through automated unit and integration tests
- Continuously study, optimize, and automate software test methods, tools, and automation scripts

Detailed Skill Expectations
Software Testing - Ability to evaluate and verify that software applications or systems perform according to design and requirements. Includes executing systems or components to identify defects, ensure quality, and mitigate real-world failure risks.API Testing - Ability to verify and test APIs using Postman or similar tools to ensure functionality, performance, and security meet expectations.Acceptance Testing / UAT - Conduct final UAT-level testing from an end-user perspective and perform sign-off testing.Agile Software Development / SDLC - Strong understanding of Agile processes, enabling incremental prioritization and testing of features.Application Testing - Champion end-to-end testing with a deep understanding of system architecture and application flow. Test at component, integration, and end-to-end levels across multiple platforms, devices, and browsers.Test Automation / Automation - Identify key automatable scenarios and develop stable, scalable, and reliable test scripts. A strong understanding of coding concepts and a willingness to explore new automation tools as technology and products evolve is required.JavaScript - Expertise in JavaScript, with the ability to script efficient, scalable, and reliable automated tests.Jira - Effective use of Jira within an Agile environment to track work items, defects, test reports, and related artifacts.Performance Testing - Ability to determine when and how to conduct performance testing appropriately.Skills Preferred

- Design, develop, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for cloud-based web applications
- Perform functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, usability, compatibility, regression, end-to-end, and API testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects and bugs, partnering closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
- Analyze test results, create test metrics, and prepare detailed test reports to communicate findings and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA team members to understand requirements, provide feedback on feature feasibility, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Ensure applications function correctly across multiple devices, operating systems, and browsers in cloud environments
