Role Overview
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Market Risk Technology team, responsible for supporting and maintaining the Adaptiv market risk platform. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of a core system used for regulatory reporting, stress testing, and daily risk analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Adaptiv Platform Support & Operations
Learn and support the Adaptiv market risk platform (architecture, configurations, batch processes)
Monitor batch jobs and system health
Troubleshoot job failures and data issues
Support month-end, stress testing, and regulatory processes
Participate in on-call rotation
Platform Engineering & Maintenance
Maintain and configure platform components
Perform upgrades, patching, and system tuning
Improve:
System stability & reliability
Monitoring & observability
Error handling & recovery
Automate manual processes
Incident & Problem Management
Act as a technical responder for production incidents
Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams
Contribute to post-incident reviews
Collaboration & Domain Learning
Work with Risk, Quant, and Data teams
Gain knowledge in:
Market Risk (VaR, stress testing, sensitivities)
Downstream data consumption
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Maintain technical documentation and runbooks
Document workflows, configurations, and issue resolutions
Promote shared knowledge and reduce single points of failure
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of relevant experience
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience with:
Linux/Unix
Python / Shell scripting
SQL / Relational databases
Ability to work in a regulated production environment
