We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent CDL Driver to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The perfect candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers in order to plan routes and track deliveries. A strong understanding of the truck's mechanical components and the ability to diagnose and report maintenance problems is a must. You should have excellent time-management and communication skills and be able to adhere to all company's policies and operation procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operating a heavy or tractor-trailer truck.
2. Loading and unloading cargo.
3. Properly tracking and documenting activity log.
4. Reporting any issues or incidents to dispatch.
5. Inspecting truck before and after the trip.
6. Adhering to truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
7. Assisting in the loading and unloading of freight if necessary.
8. Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
9. Complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
10. Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions.
11. Collecting and verifying delivery instructions.
12. Reporting defects, accidents, or violations.

Qualifications:

1. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a minimum of 2 years.
2. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.).
3. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
4. No recent moving or driving violations.
5. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
6. Valid truck driving license - Class A CDL required.
7. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests.
8. Must be able to pass a physical fitness test.
9. High school diploma.
10. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
11. Experience with logistics and supply chain procedures.
12. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor.
13. Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Self-starter who can work independently and on several tasks at once.
