Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex technical programs and customer initiatives. This position will be responsible for managing the operational and technical aspects of assigned programs, ensuring successful delivery in accordance with established scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.

The Technical Program Manager will serve as a key liaison between Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, Operations, Finance, and external customers. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise, program management experience, and business acumen, with a demonstrated history of successfully executing complex design, design-build, or EPC projects.

This individual will establish program strategies, develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, manage cross-functional resources, identify and mitigate risks, resolve complex issues, and provide clear visibility into program performance. The role requires a highly organized and results-oriented professional who is capable of operating independently while effectively managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical programs, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and deliverables utilizing industry-standard program management methodologies and tools.
  • Establish appropriate project controls and reporting mechanisms to monitor program performance, financial status, schedule adherence, risks, issues, and key milestones.
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination among Sales Account Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Operations, Finance, and external customers.
  • Lead customer engagements and ensure program deliverables consistently meet defined technical, operational, quality, and contractual expectations.
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to identify requirements, evaluate constraints, and develop effective solutions to complex customer and operational challenges.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and potential schedule impacts.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may affect program execution, delivery timelines, financial performance, or customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of project or program management experience, with 8+ years strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical projects or programs within engineering, manufacturing, power products, industrial, design-build, or EPC environments.
  • Proven experience managing programs involving multiple technical disciplines, functional organizations, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, program planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience utilizing data to support program analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Experience with project and program management tools, including Gantt charts and scheduling platforms.
  • PMP or PMI certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer-facing experience with a proven record of delivering successful technical programs and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder analysis, engagement, communication, and relationship management.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accountability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business leaders, customers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or PMI certification.
  • Experience within the power products, energy, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or EPC industries.
  • Experience managing customer-facing technical programs from initial planning through final delivery.
  • Experience with enterprise project management and reporting platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
