Job Title: Project Manager  – EHR Implementation

Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Duration: 12 Months+ (Strong possibility of extension)

Important Requirements:

  • Must currently reside in Pennsylvania.
  • Active PMI PMP Certification for a minimum of 5 years (copy of certification required with submission).
  • Must be able to work onsite in Harrisburg, PA, two days per week.

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for a large public health organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing EHR/EMR implementations, healthcare IT initiatives, organizational change management, and enterprise-wide technology projects.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7–9+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Proven experience leading EHR/EMR implementation projects.
  • Experience transitioning organizations from paper-based charting systems to electronic health records.
  • Active PMI PMP Certification for at least 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of Health IT, Health Informatics, and clinical systems.
  • Experience managing project planning, execution, governance, budgeting, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, vendors, and technical resources.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM).
  • Experience working with Public Health programs or government agencies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows, interoperability, and clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of EHR implementation from planning through go-live and post-production support.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities across business, clinical, and technical teams.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and project governance.
  • Track project milestones, issues, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure successful transition from implementation to operations and maintenance.
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training, change management, and user adoption activities.
