Required Combination of Education and Experience:

- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology plus 12 years of relevant experience OR

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology plus 8 years of relevant experience OR

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience



Required Skills for the Electrical Engineer:

- Electronic hardware failure investigation and analysis

- Electronic hardware test execution utilizing lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMM, etc)

- Documentation of all aspects of role

- Test plan reviews

- Test report writing

- Electronics product development testing

- Electronics hardware failure investigation

- Communication both verbal and written, audience from peers to mid-level leaders

- Organization and attention to detail

- Curiosity

- Basic computer skills including Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel



Preferred Skills:

- CAT ECM/ECU experience

- SEAFOAM experience

- WebPD experience

- Experience with CAT EC-1 and EC-42 plus EMC and vibration testing



Electrical Engineer Overview:

This role will be focused on production controller failure analysis and product development validation.



Responsibilities:

- Receive and track incoming material and outbound shipments

- Perform investigations and report out on findings when field returns arrive, heavy electrical hardware failure investigation

- Ensure test plans exist and are properly executed within product development

- Maintain excellent documentation for both field returns and product in development (part tracking, test procedures, test results, etc)

- Maintain lab equipment and organization
