Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Practical End-to-End Implementation Experience:

SAP Fioneer FPSL (Banking context)

FPSL Data Model and Data Mapping

Accounting principles

SAP S/4HANA Finance integration

Strong Understanding Of:

Banking products accounting

Event-based / transaction-based accounting concepts

Good Working Knowledge Of:

IFRS 9 fundamentals (from an implementation perspective)

Professional & Analytical Skills:

Analytical and problem-solving mindset

Ability to work under the guidance of a Finance Lead / Architect

Clear communication with Finance Business and IT stakeholders

Good-to-Have:

SAP S/4HANA ABAP skills

Roles & Responsibilities

1. FPSL Functional Configuration (Banking)

Configure FPSL objects for banking products including loans and advances, deposits, money market instruments, and securities/bonds (if in scope).

Implement FPSL components:

Contract types and contract attributes

Event types and event processing

Posting schemas and accounting determinations

Data Model and Data Mapping

SDL, DLL, RDL

Support setup of:

Subledger accounting layers / subledger postings

Accounting principles / ledgers

Accounting treatment / accounting entries

Valuation areas

2. Accounting & IFRS 9 Support

Implement FPSL accounting logic aligned to:

IFRS 9 classification (AC / FVOCI / FVTPL)

Effective Interest Rate (EIR) based accruals

Fee and charge handling

Support postings related to initial recognition, accruals and amortization, and derecognition events.

Assist Finance Lead/Architect in validating accounting outcomes and posting results at contract and GL levels.

3. Integration Support (Source Systems & S/4HANA)

Support inbound integration from core banking systems and treasury/trading platforms.

Assist with event payload validation, attribute mappings, and data enrichments.

Support outbound integration to SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal.

Validate document splitting, GL account derivations, and posting completeness/consistency.

4. Testing, Reconciliation & Defect Resolution

Execute and support Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Perform and support reconciliations (Source system vs. FPSL, and FPSL subledger vs. SAP GL).

Analyze and resolve posting errors, accounting mismatches, and integration defects.

Support parallel run activities with legacy subledgers.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Prepare functional deliverables including configuration documents, test scripts/evidence, and mapping/reconciliation documents.

Support knowledge transfer to client teams, go-live readiness, and hypercare support activities.
