OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicles Test Driver to support the testing and validation of self-driving vehicle technology. In this role, you will operate test vehicles on designated routes, monitor system performance, and provide accurate feedback to engineering teams. This position requires strong focus, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work non-traditional hours.
Shift Schedule- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 12:30 AM - 6:30 AM
- Saturday/Sunday: Either
- 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM or
- 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate autonomous test vehicles in real-world driving conditions while remaining alert and prepared to take manual control when required
- Continuously monitor vehicle systems, road conditions, and surrounding environments during test runs
- Record detailed observations and report system performance, anomalies, and edge cases to engineering teams
- Follow strict safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and testing guidelines
- Conduct pre- and post-drive vehicle inspections to ensure proper functionality and readiness
- Support data collection efforts and ensure accuracy and completeness of test logs
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and operations teams to improve vehicle performance
- Maintain composure and strong decision-making in high-focus, repetitive driving environments
Required Qualifications- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous professional driving experience or experience in a safety-critical role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused for extended periods
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict safety procedures
- Comfortable working overnight and weekend shifts as outlined
- Strong communication skills for reporting issues and providing feedback
- Basic technical proficiency (ability to use mobile apps, reporting tools, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with vehicle testing, QA, or autonomous vehicle programs
- Familiarity with data collection or technical reporting
- Background in technology, engineering, or transportation environments

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
