Summary

Job Title: Software QA Engineer (MV Camera)

Location: Hybrid (must have ability to visit SF office multiple times per week if requested)

Duration: 03 months (with extension possible)

Summary:

We are the Quality Assurance and Test team responsible for the verification and validation of MV smart cameras.

Our work spans firmware and cloud domains, focusing on verifying product requirements through hands-on manual testing, leveraging test automation and AI-assisted tools as appropriate.

This includes designing and executing test plans that uncover edge cases and usability issues that automation alone may miss.

We engage early with product development teams to build quality into the product from the start and act as advocates for the customer throughout the development lifecycle.

You Will:

Analyze and verify requirements and technical solutions.

Design and execute effective manual test plans for MV camera products.

Identify, log, reproduce, and verify defects, collaborating closely with development for root cause analysis.

Implement automated tests using scripting languages (e.g., Python or Ruby).

Document test cases and procedures clearly for handoff and traceability.

Collaborate with internal teams to support release validation efforts.

You Have:

Proven ability to identify edge cases, integration issues, and design flaws through hands-on exploratory testing.

Skilled at anticipating user scenarios beyond documented requirements.

Strong experience in developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests.

Proficiency in scripting using at least one language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby)

Practical knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle.

Familiarity with Linux environments, including basic networking and CLI tools.

Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and meet project timelines.

5+ years of relevant testing and automation experience.
