Jobs in this function oversee projects from the planning stage through implementation. This includes leading or coordinating project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, budgets, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Responsibilities are within the Project/Program Management function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Requires business knowledge of applicable project life cycle driven by project type. Involves client facing skills (internal and/or external) depending on project type.
Day to Day:
Responsible for managing an agile based SDLC. Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective, and daily activities related to stand-ups and sprint burn down. Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see and understand their progress during a sprint. Own and resolve identified impediments. Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.
Coordinate and monitor the scrum process from initiation through delivery. Serve as liaison between the product owner, development team, and management in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Ensure that team members understand project objectives. Maintain product backlog and release plan, and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals.
