Senior Web Applications Programmer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Web Application Developer to support the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County. This role will be responsible for developing new and existing functionality for web-based applications using Microsoft .Net Core, C#, and SQL Server in a healthcare IT environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in web development, application support, DevOps, database development, change management, and production deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop web-based applications and system enhancements using Microsoft .Net Core and C#
• Create and maintain database objects including tables, views, and indexes
• Develop ad-hoc queries and write Transact-SQL (T-SQL) code in MS SQL Server
• Support production promotion activities for applications and SQL code
• Process change tickets and implement system changes
• Perform code promotion and change management activities in partnership with the development team
• Develop APIs or web services to support real-time interfaces
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and review meetings
• Add and update product backlog items and complete assigned work items
• Develop and document code according to established development standards
• Provide analytical and technical support to implement user-defined requirements
• Assist with user issues and production support
• Provide weekly and monthly project status updates
• Support project management activities as assigned
• Follow all required data security and confidentiality policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience with object-oriented development techniques and Microsoft .Net, MVC, NuGet, GitHub, and Entity Framework
• Minimum 10 years of experience in web application server administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Minimum 7 years of experience in change management best practices and code promotion in partnership with development teams
• Minimum 7 years of experience with source control systems such as Visual Studio Team Services, Team Foundation Server, or Azure DevOps
• Minimum 7 years of experience with software build and release management methodologies
• Minimum 7 years of experience developing Web APIs or Web Services for real-time interfaces
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Crystal Reports
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the healthcare IT domain using Agile software development
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and maintaining software development pipelines in Azure DevOps
• DevOps Foundation certification or higher required
