Technical Data Engineer

The Role

The Technical Data Engineer will support bulk data delivery, API configuration, pipeline onboarding, and customer-facing technical execution. This role requires someone who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across data engineering, solutions engineering, and technical delivery responsibilities.

What You ll Do
Execute bulk data cuts and deliver formatted data products, including Parquet, CSV, and related formats, against defined specifications.
Set up, configure, and support API endpoints for customer integrations.
Build and maintain dashboards that give customers and internal stakeholders clear visibility into data and pipeline status.
Support pipeline onboarding for new customers, including environment setup, data validation, and integration testing.
Contribute to and follow established delivery playbooks and SOPs.
Document work clearly enough that another engineer can pick it up without a handoff call.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a data engineering, solutions engineering, or technical delivery role.
Proficiency in Python, including scripting, automation, and data wrangling.
Hands-on experience with REST APIs, including integration, testing, and endpoint configuration.
Experience with Apache Spark, BigQuery, and related tools for large-scale data processing.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Ability to build robust pipelines using open-source data orchestration tools such as Airflow.
Strong written communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and tools.
Ability to use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor as productivity multipliers.
