Preferred: Enterprise cybersecurity architecture; large-scale cloud hosting environments; federal/defense program background; NIST/RMF familiarity
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to support cybersecurity architecture and cloud engineering initiatives for a federal program in the Boston area. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating secure cloud architectures while ensuring the integrity and security of enterprise cyber systems and networks. The selected candidate will lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams and help develop enterprise-scale cloud solutions aligned with federal cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
Key Responsibilities - Design and develop secure cloud architecture solutions supporting enterprise cyber systems and networks
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the design and implementation of cybersecurity architecture for cloud environments
- Integrate new architectural capabilities into existing cloud infrastructure
- Apply cybersecurity standards, policies, directives, and guidance within cloud architecture frameworks
- Develop and deliver enterprise-scale cloud solutions that meet current and future mission requirements
- Analyze and resolve architecture implementation issues during integration, testing, and deployment phases
- Compile industry best practices and lessons learned to inform future cloud architecture designs
- Support system engineering lifecycle activities related to cloud architecture and cybersecurity initiatives
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders on cloud architecture and security solutions
Required Qualifications: - Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud engineering, or systems architecture
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud architectures
- Experience leading engineering teams in cloud architecture or cybersecurity initiatives
- Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and secure cloud infrastructure design
Required Certifications: - DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required
- Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud) required
- Security-focused personnel may require IAT Level III certification
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity architecture initiatives
- Experience designing large-scale cloud hosting environments
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or RMF
