Could you be the full-time onsite Industrial Quality Engineer in New Castle, DE, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll ensure the compliance of products and parts delivered by Alstom facilities, directly contributing to the reliability and excellence of our manufacturing processes. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Process & Manufacturing Engineering and customer representatives), maintain inspection records and quality documentation, and validate manufacturing control plans, and much more.

We'll look to you for:
  • Performing inspections and ensuring product compliance, including checks after rework,
  • Recording inspection results in industrial digital tools as required,
  • Conducting destructive and non-destructive examinations when required and qualified,
  • Maintaining inspection records per component, assembly, and vehicle,
  • Validating manufacturing control plans in collaboration with PME teams,
  • Maintaining quality documentation for all relevant components, assemblies, and vehicles,
  • Participating in customer joint inspections to uphold quality standards,
  • Problem-solving and effective communication to address quality-related challenges.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
  • Degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline),
  • Experience or understanding of inspections of parts, assemblies, and/or vehicles to ensure product compliance,
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering processes,
  • Familiarity with maintaining and managing quality documentation and inspection records,
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers,
  • Strong work management skills to handle priorities and meet deadlines,
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues effectively,
  • Willingness to travel to other company sites as needed.

Things you'll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:
  • Work with cutting-edge quality control processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure product compliance,
  • Progress towards becoming a key contributor to Alstom's commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction,
  • Contribute to innovative projects,
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning,
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, 401k).

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
