Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer / BI Data Modeler
Location: Remote
Experience: 7+ Years
Domain: Insurance / Financial Analytics
Work Hours: Must overlap with US Eastern Time for a few hours
Required Skills:- Power BI, DAX, and complex calculations
- Power BI Data Modeling, Semantic Models, and Star Schema
- Power Query / M and ETL
- Advanced Excel, Complex Formulas, and Calculation Dependencies
- VBA / VBScript (VBS) Analysis
- Excel-to-Power BI Migration
- SQL, Data Reconciliation, and Validation
- KPI Validation and Performance Optimization
- Forecasting, Trend Analysis, and Scenario-Based Reporting
Key Requirements:- Hands-on experience migrating complex Excel-based insurance analytics and reporting solutions to Power BI.
- Ability to analyze existing Excel formulas, VBA macros, VBScript, and Power Query transformations.
- Strong expertise in translating business logic into DAX calculations and scalable Power BI data models.
- Experience validating Power BI KPI results against existing Excel reports.
- Ability to build interactive dashboards for regional comparisons, cost and impact analysis, KPIs, and projections.
Preferred Experience:- Insurance or Financial Analytics domain experience.
- Modernization of complex Excel-based reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Important: This is not a visualization-only Power BI role. Candidates must have hands-on experience with complex Excel calculations, DAX, Power BI data modeling, and preferably VBA/VBS-driven reporting processes.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
