Summary

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform varied engineering work requiring sound judgment with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Evaluate unique situations and provide recommendations based on engineering principles and data analysis
  • Create, modify, review, and approve engineering drawings while maintaining accurate document control
  • Conduct mechanical system analysis and support product and process development
  • Prototype new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison between departments
  • Manage assigned projects, including scheduling and organization of deliverables
  • Ensure all engineering work meets customer specifications and company standards
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety/environmental requirements

Job Duties
  • Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks to develop and update designs
  • Support lab and manufacturing environments with prototyping and testing activities
  • Apply fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to daily tasks
  • Communicate technical information clearly across teams and leadership
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters to resolve technical challenges
  • Escalate complex issues beyond scope to appropriate leadership
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure use of current approved drawings

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience in mechanical design, engineering analysis, and product development
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and teamwork mindset
