We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Project Manager to join our vibrant team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term project which has a beginning, an end, and specified deliverables.
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the residential construction industry.
  • Proven experience in project management and project delivery.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time-management skills.
  • Superior problem-solving ability with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional Project Management (PMP) certification would be considered an advantage.
