General Job Summary:

Join our dynamic aerospace team as a Manufacturing Operations Engineer focused on supplier management for electrical controllers, electric pumps, and valves. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and efficiency of critical components in our aerospace systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and assess potential suppliers for electrical controllers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and audits to ensure suppliers meet established standards and performance metrics.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of components.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes for all FTT mechanical systems.
  • Establish and monitor inspection protocols to guarantee compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the manufacturing and the supply chain.
  • Adhere to company best practices and standard operating procedures and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges and ensure a steady flow of components.
  • Stay current on industry advancements and emerging technologies related to FTT mechanical systems (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.)
  • Provide technical expertise to support decision-making and troubleshooting.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

Education and Experience:

  • BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, specifically in support of manufacturing operations with a focus on mechanical systems (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.)
  • Understanding of aerospace industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Office and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).
