Desktop Support SpecialistOn-SitePosition OverviewA Desktop Support Specialist is needed to provide advanced technical assistance within a busy support environment. This role supports end users across Windows and macOS platforms, delivers technology maintenance, and assists with both day-to-day support and project-based work. The ideal candidate brings strong customer-facing skills, hands-on desktop experience, and the ability to work independently with limited direction.

Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows and macOS environments.
- Support users both on-site and remotely in a professional, client-focused manner.
- Deliver, configure, and set up new and updated workstations and peripherals.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Deploy and maintain audio-visual systems, projection equipment, and instructional devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance in classrooms and respond to emergency repair needs.
- Assist with installation of new technology and upgrades in instructional spaces.
- Communicate, track, and report outages or disruptions in the computing environment.
- Act as a team lead for complex help desk projects and assignments.
- Serve as an escalation point for on-site technical issues.
- Work independently and as part of a team, providing training or identifying training needs for end users.
- Support flexible scheduling needs, which may include occasional evenings or weekends.
Required Qualifications- Several years of help desk or desktop support experience (Tier 2-3 level).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and build strong user relationships.
- Ability to work fully on-site Monday-Friday.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with device management tools for macOS.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems.
- Ability to lead small projects or serve as an escalation point.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.50/hr.
