About the Role
Looking for an experienced SAP Functional Lead specializing in financial transformations and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA conversions. This role leads discovery workshops, fit-to-standard analyses, process redesign, data conversion, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead full lifecycle ECC to S/4HANA conversion workstreams: discovery, fit-to-standard, design, configuration, testing, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization.
· Assess custom ECC configurations and processes to identify S/4HANA simplification impacts, document gaps, and drive standard or redesigned S/4HANA solutions.
· Prepare and validate financial conversion data (master data, open items, balances, asset values, reconciliation, and post-load validation).
· Execute conversion readiness tasks, custom code/process remediation, mock conversions, cutover execution, and defect resolution.
· Design and support interfaces between SAP Finance and third-party systems (procurement, travel & expense, tax, payroll, banking, reporting).
· Create detailed functional specifications, configuration guides, process flows, test evidence, runbooks, and audit controls.
· Troubleshoot complex finance postings, period-close bottlenecks, interface errors, batch jobs, and performance issues.
Required Qualifications
· Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or technical discipline (Master's preferred); 1+ years of production experience building and deploying large-scale solutions.
· Core S/4HANA Expertise: Hands-on SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA conversion project experience involving finance workstreams.
· SAP Module Integration: Deep understanding of FICO integration with MM, SD, PP, PM, HR, Treasury, PS, and CO-PA.
· Communication: Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) across all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
· Industry Experience: Airline industry background.
· Cloud & Tools: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition via RISE with SAP (clean core knowledge).
· Reporting & Planning: Experience with SAP Group Reporting (consolidation structures, eliminations, currency translations) and SAP Analytics Cloud Planning (SAC-P).
· Methodologies & Ecosystem: Familiarity with SAP Fiori finance apps, embedded analytics, segregation of duties (SoD), change management, and Agile methodologies.
