Location: Sunnyvale, California (Onsite)
Compensation: $116 - $126 hourly
Role Overview
The main function of a Technical Program Manager is to provide successful definition, implementation and delivery of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across a group of projects and/or related activities. This role involves program-level strategic planning, interaction with executive level management, complex issue resolution, and team building. The position requires oversight of project scope, requirements gathering, time estimating, and project schedule development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget.
- Manage a group or groups of internal and matrixed employees and contractors to deliver systems and systems enhancements.
- Oversee project scope definition and management, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Handle time estimating, project schedule development and tracking, and project budget management.
- Conduct project status reporting, issue and risk management, and contingency planning.
- Manage customer interaction and communications across multiple organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
Skills:- Experience with project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, and implementation planning in large organizations.
- Proven people management and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to learn business processes and work with business partners at different levels within the organization.
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications and business functions.
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Word is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- An MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
- PMP or PMI certification is preferred.
