Sr Data Scientist Digital Engagement

100% Remote, working EST hours

6-month contract with potential for extension

Data Scientist (Digital Engagement):

• Will be responsible for both identifying opportunities to apply data science techniques to the data to generate insights and building on requests from the business.
• Will need to analyze raw data in their Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, identify trends and areas it makes sense to prio based on the data that's there - whether that's call volume, engagement from a particular segment of customers, etc. and bring that to the business.
• In other cases, business will have an agenda and come to the team with a request. They will be responsible not only for building it, but analyzing the feasibility and return - i.e. is the data there to support this?
• Good example of something they're working on that was business-driven is promoting users to transfer funds, submit reimbursements, setting up payment channels online. They would need to analyze the data to understand what customer groups to send this to, when should it be sent, etc.?
• Needs experience in end-to-end campaigns, customer segmentation, personalization, etc.
• Hands-on skills - strong SQL and Python.
• Will need to build data pipelines - Dataproc or similar. This team does not work very heavily with their data engineering partners, so these data scientists need to build their own datasets and pipelines.
• Deployments all handled through Google Cloud Platform native services.
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform would be nice to have, not a hard requirement. Similar experience in AWS/Azure acceptable.
• Needs strong communication to work closely with business partners.

Requirements:

• SQL
• Python
• Core data analysis
• Data Engineering - pipeline builds and curation of datasets for data science use cases
• Campaign development experience (customer segmentation, personalization, targeting)
• MLOps - model deployment
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Google Cloud Platform preferred (BigQuery, Dataproc), AWS/Azure acceptable
