Job Description

The Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Operations Team is seeking a skilled Global OCI Application Engineer to provide critical support for access control, biometric, Physical Identity Access Management (PIAM), lobby kiosk, and other security system applications - such as RightCrowd, HID SAFE, Lenel, and Alcatraz AI - across Oracle's hyperscale, colocation (Colo), and corporate sites. This role is responsible for implementing configuration changes, resolving integration challenges, and maintaining efficient, secure, and reliable operation of large-scale access control environments.

Work Location: Flex, Bay Area, CA, USA (seeking candidates based in Bay Area & within a commutable distance to Oracle offices in Redwood City, Pleasanton &/or Santa Clara, CA to work in-office generally 2-days or less)

Travel Component: up to 25% travel - some global - may be required, as needed

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Implement and troubleshoot application configuration changes for access control, biometric, PIAM, and lobby kiosk systems to support evolving business and security needs.
  • Resolve integration and connectivity issues within and between security platforms and connected applications, working closely with external vendors and internal teams.
  • Provide expert end-user and stakeholder support, addressing access issues, requests, and incidents in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with business process owners and stakeholders to understand operational requirements, develop implementation strategies, and document best practices.
  • Maintain reliable, scalable operations across all supported security applications, proactively monitoring for issues and optimizing system performance.
  • Ensure security and compliance through effective management of application rules, playbooks, and system access privileges.
  • Assist with testing and deployment of new features, enhancements, and software updates.
  • Document configuration changes, troubleshooting procedures, and operational workflows to support audits and continual improvement.

Required Qualifications & Key Competencies
  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of technical or application support experience, preferably in access control, PIAM, or security system environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise access control, biometric, or PIAM applications (e.g., RightCrowd, HID SAFE, Lenel, Alcatraz AI).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and with application vendors in a dynamic, global setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to optimizing system operations and addressing vulnerabilities or inefficiencies.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience supporting physical security systems at hyperscale, Colo, or enterprise corporate sites.
  • Certifications or specialized training on relevant access control and PIAM platforms.
  • Familiarity with security compliance requirements and audit practices.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $74,700 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
