Junior Data Engineer

Description

We're looking for a Junior Data Engineer who has foundational experience with data lakes and is eager to grow into modern lakehouse engineering. This role supports the migration of legacy data platforms into scalable, cloud-based data lake environments. They should have exposure to big-data tools, cloud platforms, and modern data engineering concepts. You'll work closely with senior engineers and architects to build ingestion pipelines, organize data in lakehouse structures, and support modernization initiatives across the enterprise. Support the design and build of data lake and lakehouse environments Assist in migrating legacy systems (RDBMS, Hadoop, ETL tools) into cloud-based data lakes Develop and maintain Spark-based data pipelines (PySpark or Scala) Help organize data into raw, curated, and serving layers Work with columnar formats (Parquet, ORC, Avro) and basic partitioning strategies Assist with data ingestion from batch and streaming sources Contribute to data quality checks, validation rules, and metadata updates Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize performance Work within a cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) to support data engineering workloads

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.09 - $46.00/hr.
