Job Description:
Position Summary
The Engineering Systems (ES) Collaboration Systems senior manager is responsible for the design, configuration, integration, operation and support of ES collaboration systems including Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Forma, and CADD/BIM environments across the organization. This role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient collaboration platforms and CADD standards for design, engineering, and construction teams, serving as the team manager and subject matter expert (SME) for ProjectWise, Forma, and CADD management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 20 years of professional IT/CADD experience supporting design/engineering/construction environments.
- Substantial, hands-on administration experience with:
- Bentley ProjectWise (typically 10+ years).
- Autodesk Forma, including Forma Design Collaboration (typically 3 5+ years).
- CADD management for Autodesk and/or Bentley design tools (standards, templates, deployments, and user support).
Technical Skills
ProjectWise:
- Data source configuration, environments, workflows, and states as well as user/group/security management
- Managed workspaces, CSBs, variables, and application associations
- ProjectWise server management including server provisioning requests, resource additions, operating system patch testing.
Autodesk Forma:
- Project setup, roles, permissions, and document management
- Forma Design Collaboration workflows (Revit Cloud Work sharing, Civil 3D collaboration)
- Versioning, approvals, and model coordination workflows
CADD/BIM Management:
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit standards, templates, and plotting setups
- Centralized content libraries and deployment strategies
Core IT:
- Windows Server environments and basic SQL Server administration
- Networking fundamentals (VPN, firewalls, DNS, latency considerations)
- Identity and access management (Azure AD/Entra ID, AD, SSO, MFA)
- Scripting/automation (PowerShell, batch, or similar) is strongly preferred.
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to support both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate with IT, BIM/VDC, engineering, and production/drafting teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with documentation and follow-through.
- Ability to manage a team which handles multiple initiatives and supports requests in a deadline-driven environment.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor s degree - information technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred certifications:
- Bentley ProjectWise certifications
- Autodesk certifications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or Forma-related)
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Windows Server)
- AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner)
