SPPM Project Manager

We preparing to select and implement a new enterprise Strategic Portfolio and Project Management (SPPM) tool to support our strategic initiatives, portfolios, and project delivery at scale.

We are currently using Microsoft Project Online, which is approaching retirement. As a result, we are operating under a relatively accelerated timeline and are prioritizing both timely tool selection and data migration to ensure continuity and prevent loss of historical portfolio and project data.

We are seeking consulting support in two primary areas and would appreciate your recommendations on potential candidates or structures that could support one or both phases.

Phase 1: Requirements Gathering and Tool Selection Support
We are looking for an experienced consultant who can:

• Facilitate structured requirements gathering across key functional areas (e.g., IT, clinical operations, finance, strategy, PMO, and executive leadership)
• Translate business, clinical, and operational needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements
• Help define evaluation criteria and guide the assessment of SPPM platforms aligned to healthcare complexity, governance, and regulatory considerations
• Support vendor demos, scoring, and selection activities
• Advise on migration considerations from Project Online, including data preservation and sequencing risks

This individual would need strong facilitation skills, credibility with senior leaders, and deep experience with enterprise portfolio and project management tools in large, matrixed organizations ideally within healthcare or similarly regulated environments.

Phase 2: Implementation, Data Migration, Training, and Change Enablement
We also anticipate needing support for:

• Tool implementation and configuration
• Support to build out a strategic initiative management system that creates transparency into progress, timing, risks, and barriers.
• Data migration from Project Online and validation of historical data
• Integration with existing enterprise systems where and if appropriate
• Development and delivery of training, onboarding, and adoption strategies
• Change management and governance model alignment to ensure sustainable adoption
