Local CDL Driver

WasteConnections is seeking a reliable and hardworking LocalCDLDriver to join our team in Duncan, Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection andtransportationofwasteto designated disposal sites. This role requires a strong commitment tosafety,customer service, and environmental responsibility.

Pay: $22 per hour

Days: Monday ? Friday with an occasional Saturday

Hours: Start time 6 am. Working 45-55 hour per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Waste CollectionandTransportation:
  • Operatetrashtrucks to collect garbage,recycling, and yardwasteon assigned routes.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient loading ofwastematerials using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Transport collectedwasteto designated disposal facilities.

• Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to thefleet maintenanceteam promptly.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance withsafetystandards.

• Safetyand Compliance:
  • Adhere to allsafetyprotocols and company policies while operating the vehicle and handlingwastematerials.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related towastemanagement andtransportation.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided.

• Customer Service:
  • Interact courteously with customers and the public, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
  • Ensurewaste collectionservices meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.

• Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of daily routes,wastecollected, and any incidents or issues encountered.
  • Complete and submit requireddocumentationin a timely manner.
  • Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver?s license(CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Two years ofcommercial drivingexperiencepreferred.
• Strong knowledge of local streets and routes.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus onsafety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading heavy items, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb into the truck multiple times a day.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Steady working history.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
