Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, discovery, and product outcomes for agentic workflow, MCP-enabled, and related product initiatives within the Financial Operations and Investor Relations portfolio. The role independently evaluates customer, market, commercial, and technical inputs to establish product priorities, resolve complex product problems, and guide products from discovery through delivery and adoption.

The Senior Product Manager works closely with Product Managers and Product Owners across Fund Accounting, Corporate Accounting, CRM, Portals, and FirmView, as well as the AI/Doc IQ team, to deliver agentic workflow and MCP initiatives. The role works across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Client Success, Professional Services, and other stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver product outcomes aligned with business objectives. The role also provides product management expertise, coaching, and mentorship to Product Managers and Product Owners within the domain.

Responsibilities

Agentic Workflow and MCP Product Leadership
  • Own product strategy and roadmap for Allvue's agentic workflow and data offerings within Financial Operations and Investor Relations, from opportunity identification through launch and adoption.
  • Partner with internal SMEs, clients, Sales, Product Design, and Product Managers to define product requirements and prioritized backlogs for agentic experiences that span accounting, investor relations, and reporting workflows.
  • Scope, validate, and lead discovery for new agentic product opportunities, moving from hypothesis to defensible go/no-go recommendations based on customer need, business value, technical feasibility, and other relevant factors.
  • Work with Engineering leadership to shape delivery plans, resolve complex product and delivery tradeoffs, and land committed releases for agentic initiatives.
  • Contribute to Allvue's broader agentic platform strategy, including how workflow actions and data are exposed, priced, and integrated with client systems, in partnership with Product Managers across Fund Accounting, Corporate Accounting, CRM, FirmView, and Portals.
  • Own product performance metrics for agentic initiatives, including adoption, expansion, and roadmap alignment to booked and pipeline revenue.
  • Independently determine product priorities and approaches for assigned initiatives, evaluating customer, commercial, technical, and cross-product considerations and adapting product management methods as needed to address complex or unfamiliar problems.

Coaching and Mentorship
  • Serve as a product management practice leader within the Financial Operations and Investor Relations domain, coaching Product Managers and Product Owners across Fund Accounting, Corporate Accounting, CRM, Portals, and FirmView on discovery, prioritization, roadmap communication, stakeholder management, and complex product decisions.
  • Provide situational coaching on specific product problems and artifacts and help raise the bar on product management standards, artifacts, and rituals across the domain.
  • Share product management expertise and effective practices to help Product Managers and Product Owners navigate ambiguity, evaluate tradeoffs, and strengthen product decision-making without formal reporting authority.

Cross-Functional and Client Engagement
  • Engage directly with GP, LP, and fund administrator clients to validate direction, pressure-test concepts, and build conviction on priorities.
  • Partner with Product Design, Architecture, Engineering, and clients to discover and define new solutions.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Professional Services on positioning, launch, and adoption for owned initiatives.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across product and functional teams and use product expertise, customer insight, and data to influence decisions and resolve competing priorities.
  • Represent owned agentic workflow, MCP, and related product initiatives internally to executive stakeholders and externally to clients and prospects as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated advanced product management knowledge with the ability to independently apply product management principles to complex B2B enterprise SaaS products and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a product or product area end to end, including strategy, roadmap, prioritization, release planning, launch, adoption, and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in alternative investments, private capital, fund administration, or adjacent financial technology domains; direct FP&A, corporate accounting, or investor relations exposure is a strong plus.
  • Fluency with agile delivery, discovery-to-delivery workflows, and standard product artifacts, including opportunity assessments, PRDs, prioritized backlogs, and roadmap communications.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity across multiple product areas simultaneously, with the ability to evaluate multiple and sometimes competing factors and independently determine an appropriate course of action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with executives, engineers, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to coach and mentor other Product Managers and Product Owners without formal reporting authority.

Technical & Systems Proficiency
  • Advanced proficiency with product discovery, roadmap development, prioritization, requirements definition, backlog management, and agile product delivery practices.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise SaaS product architecture, integrations, APIs, and data workflows sufficient to partner effectively with Engineering and Architecture teams.
  • Ability to use customer research, product analytics, market information, and commercial inputs to evaluate product opportunities, establish priorities, and measure product performance.

AI Skills and Experience
  • Experience shipping AI-enabled products, agentic workflows, or MCP-based integrations in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, scope, and validate workflows where AI-enabled or agentic capabilities can create meaningful customer and business value.
  • Ability to partner with Product Design, Architecture, Engineering, and domain experts to define AI-enabled product requirements, evaluate technical feasibility and tradeoffs, and guide initiatives from discovery through launch and adoption.
  • Working knowledge of the product, data, integration, risk, and responsible-use considerations associated with AI-enabled and agentic experiences.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support product research, analysis, discovery, requirements development, and other product management workflows.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience required; MBA or advanced degree welcome but not required.
  • Typically 8+ years of product management experience, including meaningful experience in B2B enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a product or significant product area through strategy, discovery, prioritization, roadmap development, delivery, launch, and adoption.
  • Familiarity with capital planning, forecasting, FP&A, investor relations reporting, or fund administration workflows preferred.
  • Prior experience at a private equity-backed software company or in a scaling product organization preferred
