Scope

We are seeking an experienced NetScaler ADC Engineer for a short-term infrastructure project to support the migration of application URLs from a legacy corporate domain to a new branded domain.

The project involves configuring and validating application delivery infrastructure, DNS records, SSL/TLS certificates, and network security policies to ensure applications remain secure and fully functional throughout the migration.

The engagement will begin with a discovery and requirements assessment, followed by implementation, testing, production cutover, and documentation.

Expected Deliverables

• Validated inventory of applications and legacy URL dependencies.
• New domain and NetScaler ADC configurations implemented as required.
• Required DNS, SSL/TLS, and Zscaler changes completed or coordinated.
• Successful application testing using the new URLs.
• Production cutover support and application-owner validation.
• Technical documentation and completed Jira tasks with supporting evidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing application URLs, dependencies, and NetScaler ADC configurations.
• Implement and validate new application hostnames while maintaining existing URLs during parallel testing.
• Configure NetScaler ADC components as required, including virtual servers, SSL/TLS bindings, content switching, and traffic-routing policies.
• Coordinate the deployment and validation of a wildcard SSL certificate for the new domain.
• Establish and validate internal and external DNS records, as applicable.
• Review and coordinate updates to Zscaler security policies to enable access to the new application URLs.
• Perform end-to-end testing of DNS resolution, HTTPS connectivity, certificate validity, authentication, and application functionality.
• Support production cutover planning, execution, monitoring, and rollback readiness.
• Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure stakeholders to resolve technical issues and obtain production validation.
• Document application dependencies, configuration changes, testing evidence, and migration outcomes.
• Update and close relevant Jira tasks with implementation details and validation results.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrable hands-on experience with NetScaler ADC (formerly Citrix ADC) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of application delivery, load balancing, virtual servers, SSL/TLS certificates, and hostname-based routing.
• Practical experience with DNS configuration, including CNAME and A records, internal/external resolution, and DNS troubleshooting.
• Experience with SSL certificate installation, certificate chains, wildcard certificates, and HTTPS troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot application connectivity, authentication, and backend routing issues.
• Experience implementing infrastructure changes in production environments with appropriate testing and rollback procedures.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Zscaler security products and policy configuration.
• Experience with enterprise application URL or domain migrations.
• Familiarity with SNI, content switching, rewrite/responder policies, and NetScaler traffic-management features, where applicable.
• Experience working with Jira, change management, and formal implementation plans.
• Previous delivery of remote professional services or infrastructure migration projects.
