Summary

Job Title: Senior Technology Specialist (Network Architect)

Location: 400 Q Street, Sacramento, CA (Remote)

Duration: 12+ Months

Work Hours: 5:00 AM 2:00 PM PST (Monday Friday)

Project Overview

  • Network Architecture & Engineering
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale network solutions across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Lead architecture and deployment of modern networking technologies including SDN, SD-WAN, and NFV
  • Manage and optimize routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Cloud & Investment Systems Support
  • Support INVO cloud platforms including BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, Charles River, and State Street
  • Participate in cloud migration initiatives and design future-ready solutions
  • Ensure performance monitoring, issue resolution, and system optimization
  • Network Operations & L3 Support
  • Provide Level III support for complex network issues and critical incidents
  • Manage and maintain:
  • Firewalls (Cisco FTD/Firepower)
  • Load balancers (F5)
  • IP management (Infoblox)
  • VPNs (Site-to-Site)
  • Wireless networks and secure access systems
  • Monitoring & Automation
  • Implement and manage monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Cacti
  • Ensure automated failover and high availability across network infrastructure
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Security & Access Control
  • Work with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for authentication and port security
  • Manage access control systems and device authentication
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
  • Maintain detailed documentation including:
  • Incident reports
  • Network designs
  • Test cases and outcomes
  • Conduct regular knowledge transfer sessions, cross-training, and documentation handover

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Degree copy required)
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise network architectures
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
  • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Software Defined Access (SDA)
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Strong expertise in:
  • TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS
  • VPNs, Firewalls, Load Balancers
  • Routers and Switching technologies

Certifications (Mandatory)

  • Candidates must hold and provide valid certifications such as:
  • CCNA / CCNP / CCIE / CCDE
  • PCNSE
  • NSE9
  • JNCDA / JNCDS-DC

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in financial/investment domain environments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Familiarity with Cisco DNAC (DNA Center)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Additional Requirements
  • Candidates must provide project-based examples demonstrating:
  • Network architecture design
  • Implementation challenges and solutions
  • Key achievements and outcomes
