job summary:

We are seeking a senior Identity Access Management (IAM) SME to join our team supporting a critical federal program at the SEC. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for enterprise identity governance, driving the architecture, engineering, and deployment of Microsoft Entra ID and ICAM solutions. You will play a vital role in enforcing zero-trust architecture, securing cloud and on-premises environments, and ensuring continuous regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:

Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for IAM architecture and provide technical leadership for identity and access services across the SEC ISS environment.

Design and implement secure authentication and authorization models using Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft ICAM, and role-based access controls (RBAC).

Manage joiner/mover/leaver identity lifecycle processes, directory services, and account governance to maintain accurate and timely access provisioning.

Implement and maintain conditional access policies, multifactor authentication (MFA), privileged identity/access management (PIM/PAM), and identity protection controls.

Align IAM controls with NIST, ISO 27001, CISA SCuBA, FISMA, and SEC/OIT security policy requirements.

Produce technical artifacts and evidence for FISMA audit/assessment activities and support remediation planning for control deficiencies.

qualifications:

Sole U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an SEC Public Trust clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

8+ years of hands-on experience in IAM, identity governance, and enterprise cybersecurity.

Proven technical mastery of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft ICAM, and Microsoft 365 identity integrations.

Ability to work 100% onsite in Washington, DC.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active SC-300, CISSP, or CISM certifications.

Prior experience supporting federal agencies (specifically SEC or financial regulatory bodies).

Proficiency in automating identity lifecycle workflows and integrating access controls into DevSecOps environments.
