Job Title: Information Security Engineer



Locations: Minneapolis, New York, Charlotte, Raleigh, Dallas, Columbus,

Type: Contract - 12 months (with potential extension)

Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience





About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer with deep expertise in Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) technologies to join our cybersecurity engineering team. This role involves supporting, implementing, and optimizing authentication and authorization systems across complex, distributed environments.



The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Okta, Ping, and federated authentication standards such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, and SAML 2.0, while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and compliance of enterprise security platforms.





Key Responsibilities





  • Support and manage enterprise SSO solutions including installation, configuration, and integration of platforms such as Okta or Ping.





  • Maintain and optimize secure access management in mission-critical, highly available environments.





  • Implement and enforce authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SAML 2.0).





  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure, scalable access control solutions.





  • Contribute to planning, risk management, and compliance documentation related to information security deliverables.





  • Provide consultative input on complex security engineering initiatives and resolve technical challenges.





  • Ensure all implementations align with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.







Required Qualifications





  • 4+ years of information security applications and systems experience.





  • 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting SSO platforms (Okta or Ping).





  • Strong knowledge of agent-based, web-based, and federated authentication standards.





  • Proven ability to support applications in distributed, mission-critical environments.





  • Proficiency with SSO technologies and protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SAML 2.0).







Desired Qualifications





  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.





  • Working knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, MFA, and privileged access management (PAM).





  • Experience integrating IAM solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).





  • Understanding of enterprise system architecture (front-end, middleware, databases, interfaces).





  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization strategies, and technical writing for system documentation.





  • Experience driving collaboration between security, engineering, and risk management functions.







Preferred Background





  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related technical field.





  • Certifications such as CISSP, Okta Certified Professional, or Ping Identity Specialist a plus.
