Requirements
  • Excellent pre-university academics, as well as a degree obtained in Maths, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field, from a top university with a minimum of 3.3/4.0 GPA, or international equivalent
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python
  • Knowledge of different asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Listed Derivatives, etc.) and their features / lifecycle
  • Eagerness to learn, with strong problem-solving skills and a clear communication style
  • 2+ years' experience related to finance, data management, or technology
  • Interest in developing a deeper understanding of hedge funds, and the financial industry in general
  • Quick learner, adaptable, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and open to working with developers and various tools.
Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly analytical Market Data Analyst to join our client's Market data team. You will utilise your financial market knowledge, data analysis passion, and automation skills to refine our operational processes. In our dynamic environment, you will balance desk support with business projects, innovating solutions that meet evolving needs across our organisation.
  • Support, Automation & Innovation: Provide crucial support on market data-related issues, get involved in BAU activities, and manage small to large projects. Scout automation opportunities and suggest innovative solutions that leverage technology to improve efficiency and user experience. Actively engage in proposing fresh processes, tools, and strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication & New Requests: Ensure active and effective communication with all users and subscribers of market data. Gather detailed business requirements from stakeholders. Translate these requirements into developer-friendly directives, bridging business aims with development tasks.
  • Functionality & Documentation: Specify new functionalities needed to improve daily operations. Contribute to knowledge improvement through superior documentation and knowledge management infrastructure
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks by flagging major issues early. Capable of making recommendations and judgements in various situations.
