Position Title: Database Analyst/Programmer (Remote)
Location:Remote
Position Status: 6 Month Contract (W2)
Clearance Requirement: Eligible to obtain Public Trust
Rate: $43/hr on W2

Position Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Database Analyst/Programmer to lead and support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of large-scale database systems in a remote, telework environment. You will provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams, delivering high-impact solutions for mission-critical programs. The role involves overseeing project efforts, producing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who excels in a fast-paced, autonomous setting and has deep expertise in database management and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the development, testing, and maintenance of database systems.
  • Provide technical solutions and analysis for various stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL/PLSQL queries and scripts to ensure high performance.
  • Support enterprise-level analytics, reporting, and operations.
  • Document technical designs, data needs, and business rules.
  • Oversee efforts of team members or direct reports on mission-critical projects.
  • Maintain adherence to client development standards and SOX compliance.
  • Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and validation of database applications.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Mentor and train less experienced staff as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, database design, and administration.
  • 5+ years of advanced experience with Oracle Applications (E-Business Suite) R12, including modules like AR, GL, OM, INV, SLA, WSH, and PO.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Application 12.2.7 upgrade projects.
  • 6+ years of expert SQL/PLSQL development and database analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of relational database management systems (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
  • Strong background in enterprise analytics, reporting, and data warehousing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop system documentation and technical analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with technical teams and business units.
  • Certification in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently on high-visibility, mission-critical programs.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship or valid permanent residence with at least 5 years in the U.S.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Java development.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of XML, HTML, and open-source tools.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass a client-mandated security clearance process.
  • Ability to travel if required.
  • Strict adherence to business casual dress code.
  • Availability for standard workweek or occasional travel as needed.
