Overview

We’re hiring a Database Administrator (DBA) to support the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise databases across production and non-production environments. The DBA will oversee backup/recovery, monitoring, performance tuning, and operational support, partnering with infrastructure and application teams to keep systems stable and scalable.

What You’ll Do

Administer and support database environments (primarily SQL Server and/or Oracle, depending on stack)
Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery planning, and high availability solutions
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot production issues (latency, blocking, indexing, queries)
Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and best practices
Support deployments, schema changes, and coordination with development teams
Build/maintain operational documentation and runbooks
Participate in on-call or after-hours support windows for production stability (as needed)

Required Qualifications

DBA experience supporting production database systems in an enterprise environment
Strong skills in backup/recovery, performance tuning, and database troubleshooting
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools; ability to perform root cause analysis
Understanding of security best practices and least-privilege access patterns

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with HA/DR (AlwaysOn, clustering, replication, Data Guard, etc.)
Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, T-SQL/PLSQL)
Cloud database exposure (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
Experience partnering with DevOps/Infrastructure for deployments and change control
