Summary
Overview
We are looking for an experienced ETL Migration Engineer to support a large-scale transformation initiative focused on modernizing legacy data integration systems. This role involves migrating existing ETL workflows from Informatica to a modern, cloud-based ETL platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role centered on ETL migration and transformation, not traditional data pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document existing ETL workflows, mappings, and dependencies
- Migrate ETL processes from Informatica to modern ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT, SnapLogic)
- Develop reusable migration patterns and automation scripts using Python and other scripting languages
- Create migration artifacts including inventories, mappings, and transformation documentation
- Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and business teams to prioritize and execute migration plans
- Support deployment using cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and Infrastructure as Code tools
- Participate in release management, troubleshooting, and on-call support
Required Skills
- Proven experience in ETL migration projects, especially Informatica to modern/cloud-based tools
- Strong hands-on expertise with Informatica (Developer or Administrator)
- Solid understanding of ETL architecture, data integration patterns, and relational data concepts
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Strong scripting skills (Python preferred)
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Terraform
- Ability to analyze complex workflows and translate them into target platform solutions
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-based developer tools (e.g., Copilot)
- Certifications in Informatica or cloud platforms
- Experience with Groovy, Java, or shell scripting
