Job Summary The AI Engineer will be responsible for building and delivering scalable, production-ready artificial intelligence solutions within a cloud-native environment. This role focuses on developing backend and platform-oriented systems, enabling enterprise AI capabilities such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), chatbots, and AI-driven services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and Generative AI, with the ability to work across the full solution lifecycle including infrastructure, APIs, and deployment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs for AI-powered applications Build and maintain scalable AI solutions including RAG pipelines, chatbots, and enterprise AI services Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise workflows through secure and scalable services Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve output quality, reliability, and usability Implement retrieval and generation techniques including embeddings, vector search, and semantic retrieval Ensure system performance, scalability, observability, and reliability in production environments Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and follow best practices for testing and deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, QA, security, and business stakeholders Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards Contribute to reusable AI platform components, templates, and best practices Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software engineering with strong hands-on development experience Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript Experience building backend and platform-oriented solutions including APIs, services, and databases Strong experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Bedrock, S3, EventBridge, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, and Fargate Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, particularly AWS CDK At least 1 year of hands-on experience building Generative AI solutions such as RAG systems, chatbots, or AI assistants Strong understanding of prompt engineering and LLM behavior Knowledge of retrieval and generation techniques including embeddings, chunking, and vector search Familiarity with AI safety, guardrails, and output validation concepts Experience building and deploying enterprise-grade APIs and services Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, debugging, version control, and CI/CD Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python Experience with agent-based or agentic AI solutions and orchestration frameworks Familiarity with Azure cloud platform Experience with AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability practices Experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services Experience building reusable platform components, SDKs, or service templates Knowledge of event-driven architectures and cloud-native design patterns Education: Bachelors Degree
