Company: Oak Street Health Title: Senior Manager, Stars Data OperationsLocation: Chicago or Remote Role Description:As the Senior Manager of Stars Data Operations, you will lead the critical infrastructure that powers our Medicare Stars performance. You will oversee three primary pillars: Data Management, External Stars Reporting, and Stars Analytics. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our Stars data is ingested accurately, reported transparently to leadership, and reconciled against payer data to ensure no gap goes unclosed.
The ideal candidate has management experience (managing, leading a team), is a self-starter, and has experience building relationships with external partners and stakeholders. This will be a high-visibility role requiring significant partnership with external payers, cross-team collaboration (e.g., Engineering, Product, Patient Engagement, Managed Care Operations, Patient Experience etc.), and regular communication with senior leadership. The Sr. Manager will report to the Director, Stars Operations and will also manage a team for support with analyses and reporting.
Core Responsibilities: - Data Management & Governance: Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of core Stars data sets. Oversee data ingestion processes, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and the tracking of bugs or system escalations. Ensure the integrity and availability of "source of truth" data for all Stars-related initiatives
- Stars Analytics: Lead team of analysts in forecasting models that project Oak Street's performance in various CMS Stars measures. Regularly analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance ratings. Draw insights from performance data and highlight areas of opportunity by market for field leaders and Oak Street's senior leadership team. Continuously update reporting capabilities to adjust to Oak Street needs.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate performance metrics, trends, and recommendations to Oak Street and CVS senior leadership (C-suite) and other key stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Patient Engagement, Managed Care Operations, Patient Experience, etc. to integrate analytical insights into Oak Street's overall quality improvement efforts.

What we're looking for:- 7- 10 years years of consulting, data analytics, product management, and/or other applicable experience in healthcare
- Analytical and data savvy
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, experience working with large datasets
- Experience/proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and/or Alteryx is a plus
- Ability to succinctly summarize and synthesize large amounts of information
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster collaboration with health plans and internal teams
- Strong interpersonal skills that support effective stakeholder engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Someone who is a self-starter
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong accountability and discipline against timelines and deliverables
- Passion for excellence, willing to go the extra mile to achieve objectives and ensure consistently high quality work product
- Quick learner and someone who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
