- Work Schedule: Full-time (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
- Telecommuting: 40% remote allowed after an initial 4-month 100% on-site period
Requested Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following experience requirements:
- COBOL Programming: 84 months of experience.
- Government Taxation: 60 months of experience with a government taxation organization, including business knowledge and technical support of Tax Return Processing.
- IBM DB2: 84 months of experience working with enterprise databases.
- IBM MQSeries: 60 months of experience.
- Performance Tuning: 60 months of experience in application performance tuning and analysis.
- Technical Documentation: 60 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
- System Analysis & Design: 48 months of experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
- JCL: 84 months of experience.
- IBM DataStage: 36 months of programming experience.
Day-to-Day Tasks
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- System Maintenance & Development: Maintain existing systems and perform new development work.
- Requirements & Analysis: Participate in the requirements gathering phase and perform system analysis and design.
- Coding & Testing: Handle coding, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Documentation: Create and update program specifications and detailed design documentation.
- Production Support: Research, troubleshoot, and fix complex production issues.
- Optimization: Perform application performance tuning.
- Mentorship: Mentor staff on programming standards and provide guidance to training classes.
- Knowledge Transfer: Ensure knowledge transfer through documentation and training.
