Senior DevOps Engineer -Plano, TX (Onsite – Local Candidates Only)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure and deployment automation within the Cybersecurity division. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable AWS and Kubernetes-based platform services across multi-environment architectures.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

EKS & Kubernetes

• Manage multi-cluster Amazon EKS environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production)

• Deploy and configure Istio service mesh

• Implement canary deployments and progressive rollout strategies

• Manage Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, namespaces

• Configure ingress controllers, load balancers, and service discovery

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt)

• Develop reusable Terraform modules

• Manage Terragrunt configurations across multiple AWS accounts

• Enforce tagging standards and manage remote state

CI/CD Automation

• Build and maintain pipelines for Go and Python microservices

• Automate Docker builds, ECR publishing, and Kubernetes deployments

• Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, contract testing)

• Support trunk-based development workflows (GitHub/Jenkins)

Observability

• Implement OpenTelemetry (AWS Distro)

• Support APM, monitoring dashboards, and alerting (CloudWatch)

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering experience

• Strong Amazon EKS expertise (cluster provisioning, RBAC, VPC CNI, storage)

• Advanced Terraform knowledge (modules, state management, workspaces)

• Strong AWS experience (IAM, VPC, EKS, ECR, S3, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Route53, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager)

• Experience with Docker (multi-stage builds)

• CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
