Job Description Summary
Dauch is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Bowling Green, Ohio. This fully onsite role is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality production within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role focuses on analyzing workflows, designing production systems, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of progressive of experience in process optimization, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering within a production environment.

Job Description:
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Design and implement optimized production layouts, workstations, and material flow systems
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work and improve labor productivity
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, supply chain) to drive operational improvements
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support new product launches by designing efficient production processes and validating line readiness
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, cycle time, and utilization to drive performance improvements
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives related to labor, materials, and equipment
  • Evaluate equipment, tooling, and automation solutions to enhance productivity and safety
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of industrial engineering experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment
