Role Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced Chromeleon System Administrator (L2/L3 Support) to develop, enhance, integrate, and support enterprise Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Chromeleon SDK, laboratory informatics systems, SQL database development, and enterprise application support within regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.

 

The role involves application development, system integration, incident resolution, change implementation, and ongoing support of Chromeleon-based laboratory applications while ensuring compliance with GxP and enterprise IT standards.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • 4–8+ years of experience in enterprise application development and support.
  • Hands-on experience with Chromeleon SDK development and customization.
  • Strong SQL development and database design skills.
  • Experience integrating laboratory applications such as Chromeleon and LIMS.
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences organizations.
  • Knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, and CSV (Computer System Validation).
  • Experience with C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, or other enterprise development technologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar version control tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide L2/L3 application development and production support for Chromeleon CDS applications.
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain solutions using the Chromeleon SDK.
  • Develop integrations between Chromeleon, Nexus LIMS, and other enterprise laboratory systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, queries, and database objects.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Support application deployments, upgrades, patches, and release activities.
  • Collaborate with laboratory users, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver application enhancements.
  • Manage incidents, defects, and change requests using ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and SOPs using Veeva and ServiceNow.
  • Participate in application testing, validation, and production release activities.
  • Ensure applications comply with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and internal quality standards.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of application and database components.
  • Support application lifecycle management, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
