IT Portfolio Manager

Seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager for an immediate contract opportunity overseeing an organization s portfolio of IT workstreams to ensure they align with business strategy, deliver value, and optimize resources.

Workplace: Onsite

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment

• Align and coordinate IT initiatives with overall business goals and objectives
• Partner with executive leadership to prioritize programs / projects
• Ensure projects support digital transformation and long-term strategy

Portfolio Governance & Oversight

• Coordinate program reviews
• Leverage existing portfolio management frameworks and governance processes
• Support intake, evaluation, approval, and prioritization processes
• Support existing portfolio management practices

Prioritization & Demand Management

• Work with Workstream leads to communicate risk, cost, resource capacity, and value
• Coordinate portfolio roadmap
• Communicate competing demands across departments

Risk Management

• Communicate and coordinate portfolio-level risks and exposure across programs
• Escalate major risks to leadership

Resource & Capacity Planning

• Coordinate resource availability with Workstream Leads

Communication & Performance Reporting

• Provide updates to steering committees and executive leadership based on Workstream input
• Leverage existing dashboards for executive-level reporting
• Communicate portfolio health and value delivery

Tools

• Utilize portfolio tools (PPM tools like Planview, ServiceNow, etc.)

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on IT Portfolio Management experience supporting and prioritizing IT programs, projects and initiatives
• Project Coordination experience
• Portfolio tracking skills
• Strong stakeholder and risk management experience
• Data analysis & reporting skills
• Executive communication and collaboration skills
• Strategic thinker, adaptive, able to pivot and supporting adjusting priorities
