Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cross-Squad Tech Lead to provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and engineering governance for a mission-critical, global e-commerce platform built on AWS, Serverless technologies, and containerized services. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, experienced in leading multiple engineering teams, and capable of driving technical standards, scalability, security, and engineering excellence across squads.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define technical architecture, engineering standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Align multiple squad Tech Leads and ensure consistent architectural decisions across teams.
  • Establish best practices for SDLC, code quality, CI/CD, DevOps, and DORA metrics.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance for complex AWS, Serverless, and containerized applications.
  • Oversee integrations with e-commerce platforms such as VTEX, CMS, and third-party SaaS solutions.
  • Mentor senior engineers, resolve technical bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of software engineering and technical leadership experience.
  • Proven experience as a Cross-Squad Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ECS, and Docker.
  • Experience designing scalable distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API-first solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Serverless architecture, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience establishing engineering standards, code quality metrics, and technical governance.
  • Background in high-traffic e-commerce platforms, headless commerce, and third-party SaaS integrations.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
