Below is the detailed Job Summary:
Manage and maintain our Windows-based server environment and virtual desktop infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring system uptime, resolving security vulnerabilities, and managing enterprise storage and network shares.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Infrastructure Monitoring: Utilize enterprise server monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Virtualization Management: Administer and troubleshoot virtual environments using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or VMware Horizon to ensure seamless remote access.
Security & Vulnerability Management: Regularly scan for security vulnerabilities, implement patches, and ensure compliance with corporate security protocols.
Storage & Network Shares: Configure and maintain NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems and manage permissions for complex network shares.
Windows Administration: Perform advanced troubleshooting for Windows Server 2022/2025, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 technical support role.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
Proven ability to manage Citrix or VMware Horizon infrastructure.
Deep understanding of Network Shares and NAS protocols (CIFS/NFS).
Security Focus: Knowledge of vulnerability management workflows and tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
Analytical Skills: Ability to use monitoring data to drive root cause analysis for recurring system issues.
Bonus Skills (Highly Desired)
Database Support: Basic administration of Oracle databases (SQL queries, user permissions).
Web Server Management: Experience configuring and troubleshooting IIS (Internet Information Services).
Certificate Management: Familiarity with KeyFactor or similar tools for managing PKI and SSL/TLS certificates.
