Role: Solution Architect, Adobe Analytics
Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid)
Experience: 12+ years in digital analytics and data: 7+ years Adobe Analytics, 4+ years on a cloud data platform (Google Cloud Platform preferred), 3+ years as an architect.
About the role
We are looking for a senior Solution Architect who designs how analytics data is collected, governed and used: from the tagging strategy on the site, through Adobe Analytics, into cloud data warehouses and customer data platforms. You will lead engagements, shape solutions with our sales teams, and guide the consultants and engineers who build them. The role is Adobe Analytics first, with real depth in cloud data platforms, especially Google Cloud.
What you will do
- Own the analytics architecture end to end: measurement strategy, solution design reference, report suite and variable design, and tagging standards.
- Lead Adobe implementations and migrations, such as AppMeasurement to Web SDK and report suite consolidation, keeping history comparable.
- Design the path from Adobe to the warehouse: data feed ingestion, lake, integrated and presentation layers, pipelines and orchestration.
- Design integrated data models at visitor, session and hit level, with identity bridges from anonymous visitors to known customers.
- Build trust in the numbers: reconciliation to Workspace, data quality tests, monitoring and data governance.
- Run analytics and data maturity assessments and turn them into a sized roadmap.
- Shape solutions in pre-sales, present to senior leaders, and mentor consultants and data engineers
Adobe Analytics: what you must bring
- Adobe Analytics, architect level: global and virtual report suites, eVars, props and events with allocation and expiry, processing rules, marketing channels, classifications, attribution and Workspace.
- Web SDK and Adobe Tags, 3+ years: datastreams, XDM, identityMap, consent, event forwarding and migration strategy.
- Data Feeds, hands-on: pre and post columns, hit_source and exclude_hit, and rebuilding visits and visitors from raw hits.
- Customer Journey Analytics: connections, data views, stitching and migration planning.
- Identity and privacy: ECID, customer IDs, consent, governance labels and hashing of personal data.
- Leadership: you have led mixed Adobe and data engineering teams and advised senior stakeholders.
Data and cloud platforms: what you must bring
- Google Cloud, hands-on (preferred): BigQuery (partitioning, clustering, cost and performance tuning), Cloud Storage, Composer, Dataflow, Pub/Sub and IAM. Equivalent depth on AWS or Azure is welcome.
- Warehouse and lakehouse design: medallion or lake, integrated and presentation layers; facts, dimensions and grain; slowly changing dimensions; incremental loads and reprocessing. Snowflake or Databricks experience is a plus.
- Data engineering: expert SQL, working Python, ELT with dbt or Dataform, orchestration with Airflow, event-driven ingestion, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Data quality and governance: testing, reconciliation, lineage, data catalogues, access control and retention.
- Consumption: Power BI, Looker or Tableau, and Adobe Experience Platform or Real-Time CDP schemas and profiles.
