What will your day look like? As a Senior Application Developer, you will:
Design, code, test, debug, and document programs based on technical configurations developed by analysts and project teams.
Estimate and track time required to complete work for project budgeting and financial tracking.
Develop program designs that ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and integrate seamlessly with related systems.
Understand the business functions supported by applications and incorporate them into the overall design framework.
Code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks, primarily Java/Spring within AWS environments.
Test and debug programs to ensure smooth performance and reliability.
Document program design, coding decisions, and system details to support ongoing development and maintenance.
Support, update, and maintain existing systems in response to business needs or technical issues.
Collaborate with project teams to define requirements, implement system changes, and deliver high-quality solutions.
Identify business needs, assess available technologies, and develop and present scalable solutions.
Provide high levels of customer service while partnering with end users on issue resolution and application deployment.
Contribute to system architecture and design decisions as needed.
You will be a good fit for the Senior Application Developer role if you have:
Strong experience with AWS cloud development.
Hands-on expertise as a Java/Spring developer.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with AWS IoT Core (nice to have).
Exposure to Generative AI or Agentic AI technologies (nice to have).
Database experience, including familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Understanding of procedural and object-oriented design principles.
Experience with software development methodologies and application development processes.
Strong problem-solving, customer service, and business relationship-building skills.
Project management capabilities and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Fluency in English and comfort with extended computer-based work typical of a senior development role.
